CLASS X EXAM FEE HIKED

The examination fee for class X SSC public examination has been hiked by Rs.25. Students appearing in March – April 2007 will now have to pay Rs.125. The fee for private candidates has been hiked from Rs.500 to Rs.650 and the payment of fees through the tatkal scheme will now cost Rs.1000 a hike of 100 percent.

The last date to submit the application along with the fee is October 27, government examination director G.V.Subba Rao said.

On the issue of students from outside the state or country appearing as private candidates, he said they have to apply for prior permission from the director or secretary, government examinations, respectively through the district educational officer (DEO) before Nov.3. The Candidates have to complete 14 years as on August 31 and they should have migrated from other state or country and settled in Andhra Pradesh or the candidates’s parents should have been transferred from other states to A.P.
