COINS AND NOTES FAIR FROM TOMORROW

Rare Coins dating to the 13th centuary and fascinating serial numbers of freshly issued currency notes will be on display at the Hyderabad Coins and Notes Fair being organized at the Arya Vysya Abhyudaya Sangham, Paradise, from January 5 to 7.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday Agarwal Shri Prakash, Secretary of Hyderabad Philatelic & Hobbies Society and M.Kesava Rao, joint secretary, said more than 50 reputed coin and note dealers from all over the country would participate in the fair.

They said some rare coins like gold coin of Vijayanagar empire, world’s biggest coin issued by British Virgin Islands, worlds’s smallest currency note from Hong Kong and the biggest note printed in London for the Nizam Government would be on display.

The Reserve Bank of India would also screen a video on detecting fake notes on the occasion.

Admission would be free to all and it would be open from 10.am to 7 p.m.
