MUSIC AND DANCE CONTESTS

Kalasagaram, the 39 year old cultural organization, is holding various classical music (Vocal and instrumental) and dance contests starting from October 15 at the Keys Girls High School, Secunderabad.

The 22nd Kalasagaram annual music competition will be held on Oct 15. The last date for sending entries is Oct 11. The contest for Kalasagaram Tambura Prize will be held on Oct 29. Competitions in Purandaradas Kritis and Annamacnarya Kritis will also be held on Oct 29. The last date for receipt of applications for the three contests is Oct 25.

Kalasagaram is holding its first annual Bharathanatyan contest on Nov 5. The last date for sending entries is Nov 1.

ANNUAL FESTIVAL

The Kalasagaram’s 10 day annual cultural festival will be held from November 24 at the Keys High School. The annual ‘Sangeeta Kalasagara’ title will be conferred on Padma Vibhushan D K Pattammal of Chennai, according to the press note.
